ER doctor who treated Parkland victims describes what AR-15s REALLY do

A radiologist who treated victims after the school shooting in Parkland, Florida explains what she saw in the ER.

The Carnage of an AR-15 versus a handgun wound is the difference between life and death for those being shot. To cut through the NRA's bullshit that AR-15s are just misunderstood shotguns -- that they just look scary -- one needs to be armed with the mangled flesh that disproves this lie.

Firstly, we need to show videos of kids bleeding out. We need to print photos of mangled Sandy Hook toddlers on front pages everywhere. This is how Vietnam became intolerable to average milk toast America. It’s time for shock.

Next the medical knowledge is useful. Dr. Heather Sher has treated thousands of handgun injuries and describes the death sentence of an AR-15 wound compared to a handgun wound. Whereas a handgun can enter and exit smoothly missing an organ, an AR-15 wound damages two inches of flesh all around it and exits with a grapefruit sized hole. This means a sloppy shot can be deadly. Missed organs are damaged, and there is less chance to survive.

Dr Sher described a scan of one Parkland shooting victim saying, “The organ looked like an overripe melon smashed by a sledgehammer, with extensive bleeding.” People need to hear this over and over and over. They need to see the blood until it makes them physically ill, and actually do something about this madness.
