UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor decided to break in the New Year by taking a jab at his former boxing opponent Floyd Mayweather.

“Shin bone to the cheek bone. The rule set kept you out the funeral home.” – Conor McGregor
“Mystic Mac” suffered a tenth-round TKO loss to the undefeated legend (Mayweather) this past August in Las Vegas in a bout that served as McGregor’s professional boxing debut.
Since improving his record to a spectacular 50-0, Floyd Mayweather has since teased the idea that he would be willing to step foot in the octagon.
That notion was short lived however, as “Money Mayweather” quickly backtracked on his statements saying that they were taken out of context, while adding he would never fight in the UFC.
Obviously Conor McGregor would love nothing more than to put his fists, feet, shins, elbows and knees on Floyd Mayweather inside of the octagon.
Unfortunately for fans hoping to see the brash Irishman earn some redemption, the odds of Floyd Mayweather ever fighting in the UFC have to be hovering around .01 percent.
When and if Conor McGregor does decide to return to fighting, he already has two dangerous threats waiting for him in the form of top contender Khabib Nurmagomedov and current interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson.
