UFC President Dana White made the big announcement on Friday revealing to the LA Times that the promotion had finalized a multi-fight deal with the Canadian Superstar.
Just minutes ago, “Rush” took to his Twitter where he released the following video that will surely have fight fans amped for his highly anticipated octagon return.
“GSP” has not competed in mixed martial arts since earning a split-decision victory over Johny Hendricks at UFC 167 in November of 2013.
St-Pierre is currently riding a twelve-fight win streak which includes victories over Nick Diaz, BJ Penn, Jake Shields, Carlos Condit, Matt Serra, Dan Hardy Matt Hughes and the aforementioned Johny Hendricks.
Rumors have already began circulating that GSP’s return fight could come against current UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping.
Georges St-Pierre’s most recent setback came at the hands of Matt Serra way back at UFC 69 in April of 2007 via a shocking first-round TKO.
“Rush” avenged that loss shortly thereafter when he defeated Serra via second-round TKO at UFC 83 in 2008.
