In the main event of the evening, UFC heavyweight knockout artists Derrick Lewis and Mark Hunt will look to add another KO win to their highlight reel. Hunt will try to impress the crowd as he fights in his home country of New Zealand while Lewis will look to play spoiler for the night.
Fighters took to the official early weigh-ins on Friday morning in New Zealand and all competitors but one made weight. Chan-Mi Jeon failed to make weight for her UFC debut and was fined 20 percent of her show money, which will be given to her opponent, J.J. Aldrich.
Lewis showed his wild sense of humor even at the weigh-ins, poking some fun at the recent “towel-gate” incident involving UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.
