Maven Investor Newsletter 11/7
Maven Continues Strong Traffic Growth: With 3.6 million monthly unique visitors in October, the Maven network nearly quadrupled its traffic over September - entirely organic and unpaid. Maven channel partners also continue to see strong engagement increases after moving to the Maven platform, as discussed further in our Maven 1.0 Platform Launchannouncement.
Maven of the Week: Chess Daily News. Susan Polgar and her husband Paul Truong operate this insightful site featuring chess news, information, advice and improvement tools. Chess Grandmaster Susan became the #1 female player in the world at age 15 and remained in the top 3 for nearly 25 consecutive years. In 1996, she became the first person in history, male or female, to win the Chess Triple Crown (World Classical, Rapid and Blitz championships). More recently she was named U.S. "Coach of the Year". Susan is truly the embodiment of a subject matter "maven". Check out Chess Daily News here.
Welcome Aboard! A warm welcome to our newest signed Mavens: Roger Nusbaum, covering ETFs (exchange-traded funds) and Value Digger, covering value investing. Both of these finance experts have large followings on Seeking Alpha and are excited to move their audiences to Maven's more advanced platform. This further cements our already-strong finance vertical, which includes includes Brad Thomas, Bob Brooks, Sean Hyman, Neale Godfrey, Paul Krake, Peter Tchir and Clayton Morris. Also be sure to check out Economonitor, featuring economic, financial and geopolitical news and discussion, now live on Maven.
Feature of the Week: Publishers and contributors can post-date stories to show up automatically at a later time by changing the time and date at upper right of the story editor and saving the story normally. This handy feature allows publishers to tee up multiple stories in advance, such as on a Sunday night or prior to travel, to ensure a continually engaged following. Users will not see the stories until they are published. Publishers can also backdate stories, which is useful when migrating older stories to the Maven platform.
