Maven Sports Network gaining traction
Seven weeks into the NFL season, Maven’s Sports Network has grown to 22 NFL Team Channels and all 32 NFL Team Channels are expected to be live by the end of the season. Utilizing proprietary tools that enable real-time video publishing along with Maven’s integrated social platform, NFL experts are quickly building and immersively engaging with enthusiast audiences. Maven’s CEO James Heckman and product team pioneered online sports with Rivals.com and Scout.com.
Maven’s NFL Network has reached more than 700,000 unique users with no paid marketing. BuffaloMaven.io, DolphinMaven.io, NYGiantMaven.io, BearMaven.io, SeahawkMaven.io are among the coalition’s most popular destinations. Patrick Starr, whose popular StateofTheTexans.com launched this week, comments, “Maven provides an opportunity to spread our Houston Texans coverage to readers everywhere. Their tools enable us to continue our work providing top end coverage of the Texans that you can’t find anywhere else, and the social platform makes it easy for fans to connect and participate.”
“The key advantage of Maven’s Sports Network over our previous sports ventures is an existing distribution to over 100 million Maven visitors,” adds Maven CEO James Heckman. “By the 2019 football season, all of our content channels will be fully integrated and mutually supporting each other. That’s an incredible benefit for our sports mavens.”
In addition to the NFL Team Channels, some of the most recognized names in sports journalism and commentary are scheduled to join Maven’s Sports Network this month, including Tracy Ringolsby, Art Spander, and Terrance Moore.
“On top of a robust NFL and College Network, we're looking forward to delving into a broad spectrum of sports in the near future,” says General Manager of Maven’s Sports Network and former CBS-Interactive and Scout executive Scott Kennedy. “Our platform makes it incredibly easy to publish, share and monetize content, and offers an integrated social platform so fans don’t need to leave the content to engage. This makes Maven the perfect destination for independent journalists seeking a sustainable business model to apply their talent and experience.”
PatriotMaven Publisher William Bendetson adds, “The Maven platform offers my followers a totally immersive experience that combines video, social engagement and access to my unique experience and relationship with the New England Patriots, which together strengthen fan engagement.”
Maven’s College Sports Network is early in production but also gaining traction. Twelve channels are in active migration and development is ramping in preparation for of National Signing Day and March Madness.
Maven is a coalition of mavens operating on a shared digital publishing, advertising and distribution platform, unified under a single media brand.
