Comedian Michael Loftus shares thoughts on culture, politics and life via Maven

SEATTLE --  Comedian, writer and producer Michael Loftus is expanding his popular The Loftus Party online community via digital media coalition Maven (ticker symbol MVEN).

“The folks at Maven made their platform so easy, even a comedian like me can use it,” says Loftus. “This IS the solution you’re looking for, a great place to publish your work and interact with your community, all while engagement grows every day.”

Loftus was the host of The Flip Side with Michael Loftus for three years, a political satire show with a conservative-leaning bend. He is expanding his comedic commentary on politics, entertainment, and any other topic his community desires on The Loftus Party. Loftus and his editors create and post content -- from Loftus’ vlogs to written commentary on hot issues -- and invite readers to join the conversation.

Loftus is a producer on the CBS hit comedy Kevin Can Wait. Previously he wrote and produced for other successful shows, including Anger Management with Charlie Sheen and The George Lopez Show. He starred in the one-hour Comedy Central stand-up special You’ve Changed, and is one of the most popular comedians touring the country.

“The depth and breadth of the talent and passion we are uniting grows each day, and the spectrum of voices in our political arena is varied, lively and thought provoking, ” says Maven CEO James Heckman. “The Maven Coalition is home to more than 300 publishers and thousands of writers across content categories, yet standing together for one shared belief in independent publishing.”

Maven is a coalition of mavens operating on a shared digital publishing, advertising and distribution platform, unified under a single media brand. Based in Seattle, Maven is publicly traded under the ticker symbol MVEN.
