Online Motorcycle Magazine Asphalt & Dirt Expanding Reach on Maven

...enthusiasts and travelers through Maven (MVEN), the new digital media platform that recently went live.

Asphalt & Dirt just launched on Maven and can be found here.

"We’re joining Maven so we can reach a broader audience,” said Aaron Heinrich, an award-winning writer who co-founded Asphalt & Dirt in 2014 as the online go-to stop for the massive community of people who ride and build motorcycles.

“We want to turn Asphalt & Dirt into a premier, online global motorcycle lifestyle magazine and we believe Maven’s platform and business model is key to helping us achieve that goal,” he noted, adding, “Most of the people who ride have at least one damned good story, a favorite route or a tip they’re willing to share -- Maven is ideal for building community.”

Heinrich is the author of Asphalt and Dirt – Life on Two Wheels. His co-founder in Asphalt & Dirt is fellow motorcycle enthusiast Jim Moore, an Emmy Award-winning news correspondent.

“When we met with the Maven team in Seattle, we knew in a very short time we were about to team up with experienced people who had already been successful in the digital media world,” said Moore. “We’re ready to roll up the power with Maven on the throttle.”

Heinrich and Moore describe Asphalt & Dirt as filling in the gap between the motorcycle-building industry and the adventures that await riders.

“Aaron and Jim are driven by their passion for riding, but what makes them unique is their ability to report, advise, entertain and lead discussions,” said Maven CEO James Heckman. “The combination of genuine expertise and enthusiasm, when mixed with incredible communication skills, is why they are perfect additions to our Maven line up.”

Dozens of award-winning journalists, best-selling authors, top analysts, important causes and foundations are bringing their organizations to Maven’s coalition of elite content channels.

Maven is an expert-driven, group media network, whose innovative platform serves, by invitation-only, a coalition of professional, independent channel partners. By providing broader distribution, greater community engagement and efficient advertising and membership programs, Maven enables partners to focus on the key drivers of their business: creating, informing, sharing, discovering, leading and interacting with the communities and constituencies they serve.

Based in Seattle, Maven is publicly traded under the ticker symbol MVEN. The executive team and operational board members include digital media pioneers James Heckman, Ross Levinsohn and Josh Jacobs and technology innovators Bill Sornsin and Ben Joldersma. For more insight, head to
