Scott Kennedy, veteran sports executive, to lead Maven sports network


SEATTLE — Scott Kennedy is joining the digital media coalition Maven (ticker symbol MVEN) as general manager of the company’s new sports division. He comes to Maven from Kennedy has been a major figure in digital sports for two decades, including 16 years at, which was part of and now CBS Interactive.

Kennedy’s arrival coincides with Maven’s recent announcement that it is adding team-sports “franchises” -- starting with the NFL and major-college football -- to its coalition of elite independent publishers.
