Maven Coalition News - April 7, 2018

A weekly compendium of news and tips for all Mavens (channel partners) on the Maven coalition.

Dear Mavens,

Maven Coalition Conference 2018. This week over 300 mavens, prospective mavens, industry speakers, journalists and influencers descend on Whistler, BC, hosted by the combined Maven/HubPages/Say team.  We expect this to be a watershed event for the company, as it moves into a position of industry influence. We look forward to seeing many of you there, and reporting back to the rest!

Channel Navigation Update. The reviews are in and generally positive, but we’ll be making some tweaks in the next week. The “Follow” button and (optional) follower count will return; the custom menu items will shift to the top of the “hamburger” menu; and you can specify menu items to appear instead at the top of the page, just left of the room links. We recommend displaying only the most-critical menu item or items, and you can specify a “highlight” color - good for things like DONATE or SUBSCRIBE.

ICYMI: WOCHIT Training Video.  It’s available in the Maven2Maven room.  Contact pubsupport for access, if you’d like Wochit login credentials, or need general help getting started with video!

Welcome Aboard!  A warm welcome to our newest signed Maven, Uptown Magazine, serving an affluent African-American audience with articles on home, tech, fashion, fitness, travel, food, sports, entertainment, culture and more.

Recently launched on Maven:  The Loftus Party, approaching news, politics and culture from the Right with wit and intelligence, and Original Path, dedicated to helping teens identify alternatives to conventional schooling.

Thank you for being part of the Maven coalition.
