Policy experts James Turner and Lawrence Chickering, who previously teamed up to create Transpartisan Review, have come together to launch TranspartisanVoice.com on Maven. They amplify the opinions of American voters who do not identify with either the Republican or Democratic parties. The organization is founded on the premise that the nation is weakened when people who avoid partisan identity are disconnected from the levers of American institutional political power.

Chickering’s passion for public policy started during his days at Yale and continued throughout his work alongside William F. Buckley Jr. at the conservative National Review. Turner is a progressive and consumer law attorney who cut his policy teeth as a member of Ralph Nader’s Raiders. Their book, Voice of the People: The Transpartisan Imperative in American Life, has been praised by prominent figures on both sides of the political spectrum.
