By David Berry, LAS VEGAS: Rising prospect Diego De La Hoya - who shares a last name with his famous cousin, Oscar - never left his super bantamweight bout in doubt, as he won a unanimous decision over former bantamweight world champion Randy Caballero. Scores of 98-92 were delivered twice, while one judge had De La Hoya winning by shutout, 100-90.

"I trained for this fight, knowing it was going to be a really great battle. All my sacrifice, I fueled into this fight," said De La Hoya, who moves to 20-0 (9KO).

"The winners tonight are the fans," said Caballero, after suffering his first loss as a pro. "When we did this fight, we knew it was going to be a great opportunity to put on a good show. Diego is a good kid, and a great fighter and I wish him the best."
