The Question of Character (or, Serving King Cyrus)

If character matters in a president, then defend Trump having any. If it doesn't then don't play whataboutism games.

The question of President Trump's character will not easily go away. Alternately, Trump supporters get angry when it's…

These circular arguments and question-begging syllogisms lead to absurd results, especially when applied on social media platforms like Twitter. Jerry Falwell Jr., one of Trump's earliest and most ardent supporters, tweeted that Trump's behavior is "non-presidential" because he "acts like one of us." This is from a man who titularly heads a major Christian university, and allowed himself to be photographed with one Donald J. Trump in front of a photo of a Playboy magazine cover.
