Regrets are hard to live with. These can pertain to any aspect of your life and are usually pretty hard to shake from memory. We all have unfulfilled wishes how we should have done this or that and it’s a tough and unnecessary burden to carry. We get one shot at this life, one ride that’s up to you how enjoyable it is. Life is a matter of choices, thousands upon thousands of choices……”choose wisely grasshopper” (one of my favorite quotes from the old tv show Kung Fu). Your ultimate outcome is the accumulation of many choices….so make them healthy and positive and hopefully your life will reflect them.
”Compete against yourself”…. who cares if you don’t get it right, right away……you love it and are learning…keep trying. Don’t wait until you feel the time is perfect, grab it and go. This has been my mantra, my M.O. for most my life.
I met the Lead Casting Director for Survivor who asked if I wanted to try out for Season 22 Nicaragua and I said sure never seeing the show. Five months later I made the cast and experienced the hardest month of my life, but what an experience in so many ways. Could you have imagined my Coulda Woulda Shoulda regrets if I had declined!
I’ve been fortunate enough to be spending a lot of time with Big Wave Surfer, Philosopher and health guru Laird Hamilton lately and I’ve learned much. One of his favorite sayings is “you don’t want to look back at the end and think Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda”. I strongly suggest his book for everyone….https://www.amazon.com/Force-Nature-Mind-Course-Surfing/dp/1609611020 who needs or wants sensible, simple, true life healthy and positive guidance.
No regrets of Coulda Woulda Shoulda any more….Live, Life Alive Laird Hamilton
